Bret M. Hanna"Clients who have been harmed physically or economically through the wrongful conduct or actions of others need the right lawyer to protect their interests, advance their goals and obtain the best possible results available through the legal system."

Bret Hanna’s practice focuses exclusively on litigating plaintiffs’ medical malpractice and catastrophic personal injury cases. Bret has represented clients in state and federal courts, in mediations, and in administrative proceedings in Michigan and Utah since he began practicing in 1991.

Bret was born in Addison, Michigan on August 15, 1965 and was raised in Northwest Ohio. He graduated magna cum laude from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1987 with a B.A. in political science. In1991, he earned a Juris Doctor and a Masters Degree in Public Affairs from the joint degree program offered by the School of Law and the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University. He was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1991 and the Utah State Bar in 1994. He is currently admitted to practice before the Michigan Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan, the Utah Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the District of Utah and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Bret is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, is a member of and serves on the Board of Governors of the Utah Trial Lawyers Association, and he serves on the Boards of Trustees of the Utah Aids Foundation and Legal Aid Society of Salt Lake.

Mark L. Williams"I believe that legal professionalism demands that basic good sense and human decency be woven into the fabric of my advocacy as a litigator in order to achieve the best resolution of any legal dispute on behalf of my client.”

Mark J. Williams focuses his civil litigation practice principally in the areas of medical malpractice and personal injury litigation. He has had the unique experience of working as defense counsel for many health care providers before he began focusing his efforts, as plaintiffs’ attorney, on behalf of patients who have been injured as a result of medical negligence. This experience in seeing both sides of the medical malpractice equation allows Mark to understand and anticipate the defenses and strategy of the defense, and to formulate the most effective approaches to pursue in handling claims and lawsuits for the benefit of his injured clients.

Before beginning his litigation career in 1987, Mark had diverse legal experiences, working as counsel and chief operating officer of a title company, in-house attorney for a regional timeshare condominium developer, and also as corporate attorney for a large independently owned oil company.

Mark graduated from the University of Utah in 1974 with a major in English, magna cum laude, and was elected to the honor societies Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi. He graduated from the University of Utah Law School in 1977. While in law school, Mark was a staff member of the Journal of Contemporary Law. He has been admitted as a member of the Utah State Bar since 1977 and has also been admitted to practice in the United States District Court, District of Utah, and the United States Court of Appeal, Tenth Circuit.
